What Are Your Best Practices?
Each day's plans are a moving target and liable to veer in unexpected directions.

To get through this time, I have some personal best practices.
Here are some of the daily habits that help me to remain strong in body, mind, and spirit.
Enjoying a tall mug of morning coffee
Reading a brief passage of Scripture, praying, meditating, and journaling
Exercising, showering, wearing makeup and dressing for the day with some jewelry and a scarf and no PJ's
Eating at least three healthy meals a day of fresh, simple, whole foods
Enjoying a daily small serving of dark chocolate
Enjoying a glass of wine several times a week
Staying in touch with my children, mother, and friends
Practicing physical distancing AND being social by looking toward others, calling them by name, waving, "air" handshakes and hugs, and chatting from a distance.
Getting 7-8 hours of sleep at night
For better sleep, getting away from digital devices one hour before bedtime
Watching no more than one hour of news
Listening only to the experts with the hard data
Giving the benefit of the doubt to others
Providing practical help within the community
